CORONA. That dreaded word that has the whole world on its knees. Many continents are fighting hard this year. Here in Kenya, Africa, we are not only fighting the deadly virus but dealing with locust invasions and floods as well. This leaves us not only with the current question about job losses, but the future impact of food insecurity too.
There is a Swahili saying that states “if you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping in a closed room with a single mosquito.”
We would not stand aside and watch even if that were the only option. With this saying in our mind and the spirit of mama Africa in our hearts, we have set forth to partner with Sunworld Safaris, Extrakt Travel GmbH and Wild Focus to make the difference that we can. Now more than ever we appeal for your help.
In an effort to help the vulnerable, a fund has been created which will help communities living around Kenya’s parks, and in turn the animals in the parks too. These are the very people and parks that have over the years hosted numerous wildlife film crews, that lead to the production of many informative and even life changing documentaries.
It is now our time to give back and say thank you to these people, the parks and wildlife that live therein.
